Pozzetta Products study of shipping temperature is an ongoing effort
to quantify shipping temperature. The one time the compact is outside
of a controlled environment is during the shipping process.
This study is being conducted by
placing a temperature recording tag in customer shipments at the
beginning of every business quarter. The shipments are sent via FedEx
ground (unless otherwise noted) to domestic customers and via FedEx
air to international customers. While product is in transit, the tag
records the temperature every 4 minutes. Our customers then graciously
return the temperature tag to Pozzetta Products where the temperature
data is uploaded. The uploaded data provides the exact time of day the
temperature was recorded at each 4 minute interval. The temperature
data is then matched with the FedEx shipment tracking information
allowing the product pick-up time and arrival time to be known.
